Bureau of Fire Safety Responsibilities
The Eatontown Bureau of Fire Safety is responsible for the enforcement of the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code and local ordinances.
The Bureau is also responsible for the investigation of all complaints received pertaining to fire safety and is required by state statute to ensure completion of fire investigations to determine the cause and origin of fires.
Mission
The mission of the Eatontown Bureau of Fire Safety is to protect the general public and community against fire through the enforcement of the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code and local ordinances through fire inspections, public education and training the industries, retail establishments, and general public in fire safety.
At the present time, the Fire Prevention Bureau has smoke detectors available to residents who need one but cannot afford one do to their financial situation. If you are in need, please call or email the Fire Prevention Bureau for more details.
