The Construction Department is responsible for enforcing the regulations of the State Uniform Construction Code, established by the State of New Jersey, to ensure all construction (commercial, industrial and residential adheres to the State Building Code.

Inspectors review all construction, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, Fire Protection, and electrical work prior to the issuance of the certificate of occupancy to ensure compliance with the International, Building codes and the State Uniform Construction Code.

The Borough utilizes 3rd party inspectors to perform elevator inspections.

Note: Please do not schedule any closings prior to final building inspections. Please do keep in mind, there are major projects being built in town, as well as other residents private jobs. That being said, please remain patient with us while scheduling and submitting permits.
