The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the receipt, investment and disbursement of all municipal funds, which includes preparation, supervision and maintenance of all the financial records of the Borough as well as debt management, grant management, payroll, purchasing and accounts payable. The CFO also oversees the operations of the Tax Collector's Office and the Tax Assessor's Office.
The CFO assists the Borough Administrator with the preparation of the annual budget and oversees the tracking of all expenditures for the municipality to ensure proper budgetary charges and compliance with NJ State statutes. With the support of a dedicated staff, the Chief Financial Officer advises the Mayor and Governing Body on fiscal policies, manages cash flow, reviews tax, and assessment billings and collections.
