138 South Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724

Dear Friends of Barbara Guigno and Girl Scout Community Supporters and Volunteers,

The Eatontown Community Girl Scouts recently received approval from the Eatontown Shade Tree Commission and the Eatontown Borough Council to plant a memorial tree in the Bliss Price Arboretum and Wildlife Sanctuary for Barbara Guigno, a long-time dedicated Girl Scout leader and volunteer in our community who recently passed away.

Many people who knew Barbara and who have heard about this project have asked for ways they could help by either making a monetary contribution, donating needed items or by volunteering a service.   If you would like to help by making a monetary contribution, please send a check made out to GSJS to Mary Anne Linder, our community treasurer at the address above by March 19.  If you are able to donate needed items or services (listed below) please contact us at as soon as possible, also by March 19.  All contributors/donors will be acknowledged in our program which will be distributed at the tree dedication/memorial service on 4/23.

What we need:

  • Professional tree products and services such as:
  • One pink-flowering dogwood tree (cornus florida), approximately 6 foot
  • Tree delivery service
  • Tree planting service
  • Mulch (delivered and spread)
  • Personalized tree memorial plaque (delivered and mounted)
  • Follow-up tree care service (regular watering during dry periods until approximately April 2017)

A tree dedication and memorial service is planned for Saturday April 23, 2016 (rain date April 30) at 2:00 PM in the Arboretum which is located on the north side of Wyckoff Road in Eatontown.  If you would like to attend, please RSVP to

Thank you for supporting the Barbara Guigno Memorial Tree Project and the Eatontown Girl Scout Community.
