Overview
The Borough Technical Advisory Committee provides a liaison between the Borough Council and Comcast Cable. Originally, started when the Borough Council signed a cable franchise agreement with Comcast Cable; the Committee has since expanded to look into other technical issues that affect Eatontown residents with respect to cable, internet and phone services. The powers and duties of the Borough Technical Advisory Committee are as follows:
- Develop an understanding for a technology strategy within the Borough and projects undertaken by the Borough to improve customer service for residents, businesses and visitors.
- Assist the Borough in formulating an information technology (IT) strategy plan in order to provide services more efficiently.
- Assist in the evaluation of the Borough's IT initiatives to ensure wise IT investments that enhance the delivery of our services.
The Technical Advisory Committee meets at least once a year to review all matters pertaining to cable, internet and phone services for the residents of the Borough. Anyone interested in attending a meeting is welcome. All meetings are open to the public.
