Do you or do you know someone who may find it difficult getting to safety in the event of an emergency? The Eatontown Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) has linked arms with the Monmouth County and State of NJ Office of Emergency Management (OEM) to encourage residents to register in New Jersey’s Special Needs Registry for Disasters! The program is called Register Ready. Register Ready gives NJ residents with accessibility and/or medical needs the opportunity to provide emergency response agencies with this information enabling better planning in case of a disaster or other emergency.
Register Ready is a free, voluntary and confidential web-based program designed to identify any resident who may need assistance in the event of an emergency. If you will find it difficult to get to safety in the event of an emergency, please register at www.registerready.nj.gov. Please be complete as possible in your responses so emergency personnel can be best prepared to assist you. This information is held securely and is confidential and will only be used for emergency response and planning. The information is not available to the public.
If you know someone who may find it difficult to get to safety in the event of an emergency, please tell them about this program. If they do not have internet access and you cannot help them register, please have them call 2-1-1 (NJ’s information line) and tell the NJ Customer Service Representative that they want to register in Register Ready – New Jersey’s Special Needs Registry for Disasters. The NJ Customer Service Representative will assist them with the process.
