Meir is serving his first term on the Eatontown Borough Council. He is married with four children and has been an Eatontown resident since 1999. He owns his own furniture business and holds a real estate license. He is an elected committee member of the Eatontown Synagogue.

As a Councilman, Meir's duties include:

• Chairman of the Public Works & Tenants Rights Committees.
• Member of the:  Finance & Ordinance and Police & Public Street Lights Committees.
• Liaison to the: Community Development Block Grant Commission, Shade Tree Commission & Economic Development Advisory Committee.
