The Construction Department is responsible for enforcing the regulations of the State Uniform Construction Code, established by the State of New Jersey, to ensure that all construction (commercial, industrial, and residential) adhere to the State Building Code.
Inspectors review structural constructions, plumbing, heating and air conditioning, Fire Protection, and electrical work prior to the issuance of the certificate of occupancy to insure compliance with the International, Building codes and the State Uniform Construction Code.
The Borough utilizes state inspectors to perform elevator inspections.
Obtain applications for permits at the Building Department office.
