Pride In Eatontown

For more than twenty years the Pride in Eatontown Committee has taken on projects to improve the appearance of the Borough. Pride members have planted and maintained garden plots throughout the town.
The Rose Garden at Wampum Park, the triangular garden on Grant Avenue and the entrance to Eighty Acres Park have all been designed and tended by the committee.
Each Spring Pride in Eatontown donates packets of marigold seeds to every third grader in the Eatontown school system to encourage pride in the environment.
The Committee has been responsible for and taken part in clean-up days in Eatontown.
Each autumn the committee presents "beautification" awards to businesses in town who have improved or maintained the appearance of their properties.
Members bring to the attention of the Committee problems observed throughout the Borough. Trash accumulation, clogged drains, unsafe situations are some of the types of things the Committee has noted and worked to remedy.
Membership is open to any borough resident and is formalized by appointment by the Mayor. The Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Borough Hall. Meetings are always open to the public.
