THIS IS A WEATHER RELATED BROADCAST FOR ALL EATONTOWN RESIDENTS FROM THE EATONTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT AND OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.

THE INCOMING WINTER STORM WILL IMPACT OUR AREA WITH APPROXIMATLEY 8-12 INCHES OF SNOW AS WELL AS SUSTAINED WINDS IN THE AREA OF 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.

SNOW WILL BEGIN TONIGHT WITH THE STRONGEST PORTION OF THE STORM ARRIVING FROM THE EARLY MORNING HOURS ON SATURDAY INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON.

EXPECT BLIZZARD LIKE CONDITIONS WITH POOR VISIBILITY AND DRIFTING SNOW THAT WILL MAKE DRIVING EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO STAY OFF THE ROADS AND HIGHWAYS DURING THE STORM AND REMAIN OFF THE ROADS UNTIL STATE AND LOCAL ROAD CREWS HAVE A CHANCE TO CLEAR THEM.

THE GOVERNOR MAY ANNOUNCE A STATE OF EMERGENCY AND BAN ALL NON-EMERGENCY VEHICLES FROM THE HIGHWAYS.

IF YOU SEE ANY DANGEROUS CONDITIONS SUCH AS FLOODING, POWER LINES DOWN, OR FALLEN TREES, PLEASE REPORT THEM TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATELY.

EATONTOWN MAY EXPERIENCE LOCALIZED FLOODING AND AS A RESULT, SEVERAL ROADWAYS MIGHT BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC.

PLEASE OBEY ALL CLOSED ROADWAY BARRICADES AS CARS DRIVING ON THOSE STREETS COULD BECOME SUBMERGED.

IF THERE IS A NEED FOR SHELTERS TO BE MADE AVAILABLE IN TOWN, INFORMATION WILL BE COMMUNICATED TO OUR RESIDENTS ABOUT LOCATIONS.

SHOULD STORM CONDITIONS CHANGE, UPDATED INFORMATION WILL BE BROADCAST TO THE BOROUGH VIA THE CODE RED SYSTEM AND ALSO ON OUR BOROUGH WEBSITE.

THE EATONTOWN POLICE, FIRE AND EMS ARE FULLY EQUIPPED AND PREPARED TO RESPOND TO ANY EMERGENCY IF NEEDED DURING THIS STORM.
